Wisdom for February 9

My verses for today: Proverbs 9:3-6 She (Wisdom) has sent her servants to invite everyone to come. She calls out from the heights overlooking the city. 4 “Come in with me,” she urges the simple. To those who lack good judgment, she says, 5 “Come . . . 6 Leave your simple ways behind, and begin to live; learn to use good judgment.”

Yesterday, Prov. 8, you have an entire chapter describing Wisdom as if it were a person, there at the creation of the word. In verse 17 we have Wisdom saying she loves everyone who seeks her and then makes the ultimate deal or no deal offer - IF YOU LOOK FOR ME you WILL find me! (I wished I'd chosen 8:17 as my passage yesterday . . . anyway, take a look at 9:3-6.

Proverbs 9:3-6

• God's amazing Wisdom, His way of thinking and acting, and living is constantly seeking ALL OF US OUT!
• Have you ever felt "stupid" or like you had no clarity regarding a decision you needed to make? Wisdom invites you to come and start living with her.
• This Saturday morning, 5:30am Wisdom has already sent out her employees to invite you to breakfast, brunch, or lunch. Look for them, they don't always have a huge "W" on their uniforms. They might surprise you by riding the Max or maybe a commuter bike. They could be in the shape of a grandma or little kid. Their tone may seem short and irritable, don't be tricked. Wisdom's employees come in all sizes shapes and frame of mind. Expect to be surprised (The Matrix). Be on the lookout, expect to find Wisdom today.
